Pulbished on:Tripoli - July 2, 2024 - (LANA) - Today, Tuesday, the Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation, Ali Al-Abed, discussed with the Dutch Ambassador to Libya, Joost Klarenbeek, ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the fields of work and rehabilitation.
The Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation said that the meeting held at the Ministry’s office focused on addressing the conditions of expatriate workers, as the two parties discussed the optimal ways to organize and improve the working conditions of foreign workers in Libya. They also discussed the benefit of modern and smart technologies in the procedures for inventorying and registering foreign workers, with the aim of improving the process. Management and ensuring the rights of migrant workers.
It added that the meeting also discussed the issue of vocational training and small and medium enterprises, as both sides stressed the importance of supporting the national rehabilitation and reintegration project.
Benefiting from various initiatives in the areas of technical support for capacity building was also discussed.
The two sides emphasized developing inventory mechanisms and benefiting from funding and projects that help in smart inventorying and applying occupational safety standards, according to the ministry.
