Tripoli - June 30, 2024 - (LANA) - Representative of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, discussed today, Sunday, with the head of the High National Elections Commission, Imad Al-Sayeh, ways to support the electoral process, and the level of the commission’s readiness to implement municipal council elections.

The Presidential Council’s Information and Communication Office said that the President of the Commission briefed Al-Lafi on the Commission’s readiness to implement the municipal council elections, as well as the difficulties and challenges it faces practically and technically, praising at the same time the efforts of the Presidential Council in supporting the political process to reach the elections.

The office added that Representative Al-Lafi expressed his appreciation for the current efforts made by the Commission to complete the municipal council elections, stressing the presidential support for the Commission in a way that enhances its readiness and creates a suitable climate for the implementation of future entitlements.
