Discussing cooperation between Libya and the European Union to combat migration and secure borders.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, June 25, 2024 (LANA) - The person in charge of running the affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, “Al-Taher Al-Baour,” discussed at the ministry’s headquarters today, Tuesday, with the head of the European Union mission in Libya ways to enhance cooperation with European countries towards combating illegal immigration, and supporting efforts to secure the borders.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation stated that the meeting, which comes within the ongoing preparations for holding a conference on migration in Tripoli in the coming period, discussed ways to activate the prospects for cooperation and coordination between Libya and the European Union and work to activate memorandums of understanding and agreements in support of enhancing stability in the country.
