Tripoli, June 23, 2024 (LANA) - The American Special Envoy to Libya, Ambassador Richard Norland, renewed his country’s support for the United Nations Support Mission in Libya.

This came during his meeting today with the Acting Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, “Stephanie Khoury,” in the presence of the American Chargé d’Affaires, “Jeremy Brent,” according to what was published by the official page of the American Embassy in Libya through its account on X.

The embassy quoted Norland as saying that the meeting discussed US support for the efforts of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya to facilitate a comprehensive Libyan-led political process aimed at forming a unified government and setting a reliable path towards national elections.
