Dbaiba meets with Tunisian Interior Minister.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, June 12, 2024 (LANA) - Today, Wednesday, the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Al-Dbaiba, discussed with the Tunisian Minister of the Interior, Khaled Al-Nuwairi, and his accompanying delegation ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, the mechanism for opening the Ras Jedir border crossing, and ending the file of names-similarity of at the crossing, in the presence of the Ministers of the Interior, “Imad Trabelsi,” and the State for Communication and Political Affairs, “Walid Al-Lafi.”
The Prime Minister's Media Office stated, that the Libyan and Tunisian Interior Ministers signed a report of a security agreement during the meeting under the supervision of the Prime Minister of National Unity, Abdel Hamid Al-Dbaiba.
The office explained that, the minutes signed between the two sides include opening the four common gates at the crossing for the entry of citizens from the two countries and resolving the problem of the similarity of names for citizens of the two countries, in addition to a commitment to open 6 electronic registration centers for cars of Libyan citizens, and not to impose any fees or financial fines that were not agreed upon.
