Al-Dabaiba: Oil production in Libya has reached one million five hundred thousand barrels, and we are working to reach 2 million.

Benghazi, June 10, 2024 (LANA) - The head of the National Unity Government, “Abdulhamid Al-Dabaiba,” revealed that oil production in Libya has reached one million five hundred thousand barrels today, and we are working to reach 2 million in the future.

“Al-Dabaiba” explained during the second regular meeting of 2024 of the Council of Ministers of the National Unity Government on Monday that the state’s general revenues, as of May 2024, amounted to more than 43.7 billion Libyan dinars and spending amounted to 32 billion, calling for the citizen not to be burdened with the tax on parallel spending that is not subject to any system.

The Prime Minister reported that more than 500 seats were granted in this season’s Hajj to those affected by Storm Daniel in the city of Derna and some areas of Jabal al-Akhdar, noting that 173,000 female citizens benefit from the grant for girls over the age of 18 and wives, while the number of beneficiaries of the boys’ grant reached 1.185 million. 

“Al-Dabaiba” said in his speech that some members of the House of Representatives and the State Council only agreed on what included extension for themselves, so I advise them to defend their immunity and that of their missing colleagues without any results of investigations appearing on their fate, and to focus on approving electoral laws, which is their only and required task.
