Dbaiba discusses with the Tunisian President a number of common issues.

 Tripoli, June 07, 2024 (LANA) - Today, Friday, the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdelhamid Dbaiba, held a telephone call with the Tunisian President, Kais Saied, in which he discussed a number of common issues between the two countries.

The “Hakomitna” platform said, that Dbaiba followed up during the call on the executive procedures for opening the Ras Jedir crossing, and the mechanism for organizing work between the competent authorities in the two countries, with the aim of facilitating the transit movement for citizens, and eliminating the negatives that the crossing has witnessed during the past years.

Adding, that the two sides discussed the conditions of prisoners, detainees and suspects, and stressed the necessity of judicial and security cooperation between the judicial and security agencies of the two countries and the implementation of joint decisions for that.

The two sides stressed that, the interior ministers of the two countries would communicate to organize what was agreed upon during the phone call, according to the platform.
