Renewable Energy Authority discusses areas of bilateral cooperation with Britain.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, June 5, 2024 (Lana): A meeting was held at the headquarters of the Renewable Energy Authority in Tripoli yesterday. The attendees included the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority, Abdul Salam Al-Ansari; a member of the Board of Directors, Asil Artima, the Chargé d'Affaires of the British Embassy in Tripoli, Catherine Wilde, and the Trade and Investment Advisor at the British Embassy.
The meeting discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between Libya and the UK in the area of renewable energies, energy efficiency, and the possibility of inviting British companies specializing in renewable energy to invest in Libya and participate in implementing the national strategy for renewable energy and energy efficiency.
The meeting also discussed ways to benefit from the extensive capabilities and expertise of British companies in renewable energies and implement projects in solar energy and wind energy.
The meeting discussed areas of training, capacity building, exchanging experiences, and holding joint workshops and conferences between the two sides.
Wilde expressed her country's desire to strengthen bilateral cooperation by signing a cooperation agreement between both countries.
