Benghazi, June 4, 2024 (LANA) - The Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Political Affairs, Acting Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Stephanie Khoury, visited today, Tuesday, the shrine of the Sheikh of the Martyrs, Omar Al-Mukhtar, in the city of Benghazi.

During the visit, Khoury placed a wreath of flowers on his symbolic grave in his memory, and she, along with the head of the Peace Center, historian Faraj Negm, toured the exhibition held inside the shrine that depicts his biography.
