Tripoli, June 4, 2024 (LANA) - The Minister of Transportation of the Government of National Unity, “Mohamed Salem Al-Shahoubi,” followed up today, Tuesday, with the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to Libya, “Gianluca Alberini,” and his accompanying delegation from the “ENAS” coalition, the implementation of the passenger lounge project at Tripoli International Airport.

The Ministry's media office stated that "Al-Shahoubi" listened to an explanation of the background of the implementation of the project from the head of the "Enas" company consortium, regarding the stages that the project has reached and the problems and difficulties that they faced during the implementation stages. He expressed his concern about the delay in implementing the project according to the specified time and called on the company to accelerate the pace of work and His Excellency promised to work to solve all the problems and difficulties they faced during the implementation stages.

The office explained that the meeting was attended by the Undersecretary for Land Transport Affairs, Fadlallah Rafallah Al-Shalawi, the Director General of the Transportation Projects Implementation Agency, Sami Al-Absh, representatives of the European Administration and the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Director of the International Cooperation Office at the Ministry’s office, Adel Bakhit, and a coordinator.
