Tripoli, June 3, 2024 (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, followed up, today, Monday, with the Minister of Transportation, Muhammad Al-Shahoubi, the Head of the Ports Authority, and the Chairman of the Libyan Investment Corporation, plans to develop and invest in sea ports.
The Prime Minister's Media Office reported that the Minister of Transportation reviewed during the meeting, which was attended by a number of specialized international experts, the efforts made by the Ports and Transport Authority to develop a number of ports in cooperation with the Libyan Investment Corporation and its affiliated institutions, and to introduce international expertise in this field to raise their performance to be A destination for imports from a number of African countries.
The office explained that “Dabaiba” welcomed the cooperation between the Ministry of Transportation and its affiliated entities, with the Libyan Investment Corporation and affiliated sectors, in order to find appropriate investment opportunities, to increase the readiness of Libyan ports, so that they can compete regionally and internationally, and enter the global market in this field, stressing Local investment institutions must be directed to search for a successful investment opportunity within Libya, achieve a good investment return, and contribute to the development of the country.
