Abu-Janah meets with his Moroccan counterpart.
Pulbished on:Geneva, May 29, 2024 (Lana): Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity and Minister of Health, Ramadan Abu-Janah, met with Moroccan Minister of Health and Social Protection, Khaled Ait Taleb, on the sidelines of the activities of opening the 77th session of the World Health Assembly, held in Geneva, with the participation of more than “90” countries around the world.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance and expand aspects of future cooperation between Libya and Morocco in the areas of pharmaceutical manufacturing and health insurance, in addition to discussing increasing the exchange of experiences between medical teams through cooperation between health institutions in both countries.
The two parts also discussed health experiences in the areas of initiatives, comprehensive health coverage, and management of hospitals and medical facilities.
According to the Facebook page of the ministry, Taleb reviewed his country's experience in universalizing compulsory health coverage that embodies the right to health, expressing his aspiration to exchange official visits between the health leaders of the two countries to discuss health investment opportunities and conclude cooperation agreements to strengthen the relations of the two countries and cooperate towards broader and wider horizons in order to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples.
