Hammad confirms the disappearance of MP Ibrahim Al-Dersi.

Benghazi, May 18, 2024 (LANA) - The Prime Minister-designate of the House of Representatives, Osama Hammad, announced that he is following with great concern, along with the Minister of the Interior and the heads of the relevant security services, the developments in the disappearance of the member of the House of Representatives, “Ibrahim Al-Dersi.”

Hammad said in a tweet via his account on the (X) platform that he issued his immediate instructions to all agencies to intensify their efforts until he is found, Insha-Allah, so that he may return safely to his family soon.

The Prime Minister confirmed that all efforts are now being made by security personnel and the armed forces to reach him and find out the circumstances of the incident and who is behind it. He also denied reports of the killing of Member of the House of Representatives, Ibrahim Al-Dersi

The head of the Ministry's Security Information Office said in a statement on Friday night, that the Benghazi Security Directorate received a report on Friday afternoon about Al-Dersi's disappearance, after entering his house and robbing it in the late hours of Thursday night.

The statement added that in light of this incident, the Ministry of Interior assigned the Benghazi Security Director, the Internal Security Service, and the Criminal Investigation Service to open a comprehensive and urgent investigation to determine the circumstances of his disappearance.
