UNICEF affirms its commitment to children's health by supporting the vaccination of more than 460,000 children in Libya during the past year.

UNICEF called in a statement during World Immunization Week: To implement zero-dose strategies, targeting the groups most in need, to ensure that no child is left unprotected, and to enhance the digitization of vaccination programs.
UNICEF called on the government and donors to invest in developing a comprehensive improvement plan to raise the level of safety and quality of vaccinations to ensure that all children in Libya receive the life-saving benefits they deserve.
This year's World Immunization Week, which began on April 24 to 30, celebrates the 50th anniversary of the launch of the Expanded Program on Immunization and is an occasion to recognize the World Health Organization's collective efforts to save the lives of countless numbers of individuals from vaccine-preventable diseases, improve their living conditions, and call on countries to increase Investments in immunization programs to protect future generations.
