Eid prayer in Gaza on the ruins of mosques.
Pulbished on:Gaza, April 10, 2024 (LANA) - Today, Palestinians in the Gaza Strip performed Eid al-Fitr prayers on the ruins of mosques destroyed by the Israeli aggression machine, in the shelter schools to which they were displaced, and in public squares in the rain.
During its ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip since October 7, the Israeli occupation completely destroyed 229 mosques and partially 297 mosques .
In Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, where more than a million Palestinians were displaced, a number of displaced people performed Eid prayers in shelter schools and near the displacement tents, and several relief organizations took the initiative to distribute sweets and toys to children in an attempt to put a smile on their faces despite the difficult circumstances. Prayers were also held. Eid on the ruins of the Al-Farouq and Al-Huda mosques in the city.
In the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, dozens of citizens held Eid prayers inside the European Hospital, after the occupation forces destroyed most of the city’s mosques.
In Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip, a number of citizens performed Eid prayers in public squares, in light of the rain and cold weather.
The Palestinian News Agency "WAFA" reported, that despite the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip for 187 days, citizens are trying as much as possible to bring joy to the hearts of their children.
The majority of the children wore normal clothes, and were unable to buy Eid clothes, due to the difficult conditions imposed by the aggression and the destruction of markets and shops.
