After a pause due to the war.. the first Libyan flight arrives at Port Sudan International Airport.
Pulbished on:Khartoum, March 6, 2024 (LANA) - An African Airlines passenger plane landed on the runway of Port Sudan International Airport today, Wednesday, to be the first flight between Libya and Sudan after the cessation of flights between the two countries since April 2023, as a result of the armed conflict that broke out in the capital, Khartoum.
The flight was received at the airport by representatives of the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Director of Airports and the Director of the Air Transport Authority in Sudan, members of the Libyan diplomatic mission to Sudan, the African Airlines coordination office in Port Sudan, and employees from the Khartoum International Airport administration.
The passengers returning from Tripoli were accompanied by a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, a number of employees of the African Airlines Company, and employees from the management of Mitiga International Airport.
