Al-Toumi discusses prospects of cooperation in different areas of local administration work with Tunisia.

Tripoli 7 February 2024 (Lana) Minister of Local Government, Badr al-Din Al-Toumi, received yesterday in Tripoli the head of the General Authority for Foresight and Approval of the Decentralization Path in Tunisia, Habib al-Khulaifi, and his accompanying delegation.

The Ministry stated on its Facebook page that the meeting discussed prospects for cooperation in various areas of local administration work including the area of waste management, water drainage engineering, training, consultations and the exchange of experiences between the two sides, in addition to the areas of maps and forecasts of climate change, entrepreneurship and small and medium enterprise programs.

Al-Toumi stressed the important of strengthening bilateral cooperation between Libya and Tunisia in areas of local administration and sustainable development, noting that this visit represents an important step towards strengthening partnership and exchange experiences between the two countries.

He expressed his hope to develop cooperation relations and creating twining between the two countries, with an aim to exchange experiences in areas of urban planning, waste management, environmental sanitation, and other fields.

For his part, Al-Khulaifi, expressed his admiration for the developments and improvements witnessed by Libya at the infrastructure level.
