New Japanese Ambassador to Libya arrives in Tripoli.

Tripoli, February 3, 2024 (Lana) The new Japanese Ambassador to Libya, Shimmura Izuru, arrived Thursday in Tripoli.
The Japanese Embassy in Libya stated on its Facebook page that the Director of the Protocol Department at the GNU Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Al-Tahir Haj Yunis, received Shimmura at Mitiga International Airport.
The Embassy added that Shimmura was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Libya after an absence of 10 years since 2014.
The embassy stated that the ambassador will lead the Japanese diplomacy in Libya to strengthen relations between Libya and Japan in different areas.
The embassy announced last month the opening of its office in Tripoli and the resumption of its work in Libya.
