Tripoli, January 29, 2024 (LANA) - The German Ambassador to Libya, “Michael Unmacht,” described his meeting with the representative of the Presidential Council, “Moussa Al-Koni,” as constructive.
Ambassador Unmacht said in a tweet posted on the “X” platform today, Monday, “Al-Koni briefed me on the situation in the south and the challenges facing the people there,” adding, “We also discussed during the meeting ways to strengthen the political process and affirmed our support for the initiative of the UN envoy, Abdullah.” Batili ")).
It is noteworthy that the "Batili" initiative aims to bring Libyan leaders to the table of international dialogue, in order to resolve electoral legal disputes and reach a consensus leading to its holding.
