The Greek Consul in Benghazi discusses reconstruction with members of the municipality.
Pulbished on:Benghazi, January 26, 2024 (LANA) - The Chairman of the Managing Council of the Municipality of Benghazi, “Al-Saqr Omran,” discussed with the new Greek Consul in the city, “Agabios Kalo Gnomis,” bilateral cooperation and coordination on issues of common interest.
According to the Libyan newspaper Al-Anba, the meeting was attended by the director of the Greek “LEAD” engineering consulting company, “Kanax Mandlos”, a member of the municipality’s administrative council, “Razia Ayyad Al-Madhabil”, and the director of the council president’s office, “Youssef Al-Zawawi”.
The President of the Council stressed the importance of continuing cooperation and coordination on issues of common interest, especially with regard to reconstruction, infrastructure, and various service economic fields.
He pointed out that the municipality had contracted with the Greek engineering consulting company “LEAD” regarding the project to update the general plan and expansions of the Benghazi metropolis.
The President of the Council praised the support of the State of Greece regarding improving the infrastructure of the port of Benghazi, enhancing commercial capacity and facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid to the wide region in North Africa.
