The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government receives the Sudanese Ambassador to Libya.

Tripoli, January 23, 2024 (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdel Hamid Al-Dabaiba, received on Tuesday the Sudanese Ambassador to Libya, Ibrahim Mohamed Ahmed, and the political team at the embassy, in the presence of the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs.

  The Prime Minister's Media Office stated that the Sudanese ambassador thanked the Prime Minister for providing all facilities to the refugees by accepting them in schools and universities, and completing their legal procedures by the Passports Authority.

The office explained that the meeting discussed the current situation in Sudan, and emphasized Libya’s official and popular role in calming the situation in Sudan.

During the meeting, Al-Dabaiba stressed that the Libyan people are at the service of their Sudanese brothers in Libya, explaining that he issued instructions to all government institutions to provide the necessary facilities to all refugees.

The Prime Minister's Media Office stated that the Sudanese ambassador conveyed a verbal message from the Chairman of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan.
