Libya participates in the forty-fourth session of ISESCO.

Jeddah, January 20, 2024  (LANA) - Libya participated in the forty-fourth session of the Executive Council of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization - ISESCO, which was hosted by Saudi Arabia.

According to the Ministry of Education, representatives of member states, ministers, ambassadors, officials, and representatives of regional and international organizations and bodies have participated in the session.

  Libya was represented at the session by the advisor to the Minister of Education, the representative of the State of Libya in the Executive Council of ISESCO, and the Secretary of the Islamic Division of the National Commission for Education, Culture and Science.

The session’s meetings reviewed reports on the situation in Palestine, and the proposal to establish an office for the organization in the State of Palestine, to support the Palestinian people in the fields of education, culture and science.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the Advisor to the Minister of Education and a member of the Executive Council of ISESCO signed the protocol for the State of Libya to join the Alliance of National Committees and African Learning Cities, which is chaired by Morocco.
