Prime Minister of National Unity, Abdelhamid Dabaiba, receives the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad

Tripoli, January 18, 2024 (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdelhamid Dabaiba, received today, Thursday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, Dr. Mohamed Salem, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Ministers of State for Cabinet Affairs, Communications and Political Affairs, and the Director of the Arab Administration in the Foreign Ministry.

  The Prime Minister's media office stated that the minister presented a verbal message from the Mauritanian president confirming the depth of relations between the two countries, and work to coordinate efforts at the level of the Arab Maghreb Union and the African Union, noting the return of the Mauritanian embassy to work from the capital, Tripoli.

During the meeting, “Dabaiba” stressed the depth of the historical relationship between the two countries, the necessity of continuing cooperation in all fields, increasing economic cooperation between the two countries, creating opportunities for Libyan manufacturers and the private sector to present their activities in Mauritania, and holding exhibitions and economic activities in Nouakchott similar to what the Ministry of Economy and trade did last year.

The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government praised Mauritania's efforts to unify political efforts in the Maghreb countries to have a unified vision towards all issues.
