Heads of permanent committees of the HCS discuss with Aoun the investment agreement in Hamada Al-Hamra field .

Tripoli, January 1, 2024 (Lana): The Public Services Committee of the High Council of State (HCS) held a meeting yesterday with the Minister of Oil and Gas, Mohamed Aoun, to discuss the agreement to invest in Hamada Al-Hamra field by a consortium of companies that includes the Italian "Eni," the UAE’s "ADNOC," and the French "Total.”.
According to the HSC’s Facebook page, the attendees agreed to address the Presidency’s office of the HCS and brief it on the need to send a letter to the Government of National Unity to alert it of the consequences of continuing to sign this agreement.
The meeting, which was held at the Council's headquarters in Tripoli, was attended by a group of experts in the area of oil and a number of heads of the Council's permanent committees.
