Tripoli, December 30, 2023 (Lana): Coast Guard patrols thwarted, Thursday, an attempt to illegally migrate towards European coasts from Libya.

The Ministry of Interior stated on its Facebook page that a naval patrol on the boat “300 Wadi Kaam” rescued 199 illegal migrants, including men, women, and children.

The ministry added that the migrants were on a ruined boat within territorial waters, noting that they were disembarked at the Al-Shaab Port point of the Coastal Security Tripoli Branch and handed over to the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency to take the necessary legal measures.
