Libya and Italy discusses the activation of the joint committee.

Tripoli, December 23, 2023 (LANA) - Minister of Finance of the Government of National Unity, Khaled Al-Mabrouk, discussed yesterday, Friday, in Tripoli, with the Italian Minister of Economy and Finance, “Giancarlo Giorgetti,” and his accompanying delegation, the reactivation of the Libyan-Italian Joint Committee and the agreement to avoid double taxation between Libya and Italy.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the two sides also discussed cooperation mechanisms in the fields of training, raising the efficiency of customs guard members, and building their capabilities in the field of coastal protection, in addition to cooperation and training in the field of combating money laundering.
During this meeting, Al-Mabrouk welcomed the return of Italian companies to work in Libya in development projects and investment fields, especially clean energy production.
