Takala: The State Council is ready to enter into the dialogue sessions scheduled to be held under the supervision of the United Nations without restrictions or preconditions.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, December 20, 2023 (LANA) - Today, Wednesday, the President of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, discussed with the American envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, the Libyan political scene and the proposal of the UN envoy, Abdullah Batili.
This came during a meeting at the Council’s headquarters in Tripoli, in the presence of First Representative Masoud Obaid, Council Member Hassan Al-Habib, member of the Libyan-American Communication Committee, and Council Member Abdulaziz Hariba, Chairman of the Council’s Political Committee.
The Council's media office reported that the meeting focused on the latest political developments in the region, in addition to the discussion about the Libyan political scene and the proposal of the UN envoy, Mr. Abdullah Batili.
The media office added that Takala stressed that the High Council of State is ready to enter into the dialogue sessions scheduled to be held under the supervision of the United Nations without restrictions or preconditions, and that the Council gives priority to the public interest and the interest of the nation above any individual interests.
For his part, Batili explained that his country supports the efforts of the United Nations that aim to achieve stability and prosperity in Libya, which necessarily reflects on the security and stability of the region.
