The presidential media office reported that “Norland” affirmed his support for the initiative of the Secretary-General’s envoy to Libya, Abdullah Batili, which aims to make the electoral process a success and achieve stability throughout Libya, expressing his appreciation for the role of “Al-Manfi” in bringing the viewpoints of the Libyan parties closer together and his efforts to end all transitional stages through free and fair elections.
In turn - according to the same source - the President of the Presidential Council confirmed that his position is firm on the Libyan issue, and that the initiative of the Secretary-General’s envoy to Libya will contribute to addressing the political impasse and lead to transparent elections built on solid and stable foundations, with the results of which all parties will be satisfied.
The office indicated that the meeting touched on ways to support the Supreme Financial Committee as a model for the reconstruction of the city of Derna in cooperation with international institutions to ensure transparency and unify efforts, and the mechanism for forming a joint force that would serve as a nucleus for unifying the military institution.
