Chairman of the Commission’s Council meets US ambassador to Libya.

 Tripoli, December 20, 2023  (LANA) - Chairman of the Commission’s Council, “Imad Al-Sayeh,” met today, Wednesday, in Tripoli, the United States Ambassador to Libya, “Richard Norland,” and his accompanying delegation.

     The Commission stated that the meeting, which comes within the framework of the international community’s support for the electoral process in Libya, discussed ways to support national proposals and endeavors that seek peace and stability and aim to make the anticipated elections a success.

     The Commission added that Norland stressed the United States' support for the Commission's efforts, explaining that his country's technical and advisory support for the Commission continues to achieve free and credible elections that reflect the will of the Libyan voter, expressing his appreciation for the efforts undertaken by the Commission in dealing with the preparation for the municipal council elections.
