Dbaiba congratulates Supreme Judicial Council on the occasion of selecting its members.

Tripoli, December 20, 2023 (LANA) -  Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Al-Dbaiba, congratulated the Supreme Judicial Council on the occasion of the selection of its members and their taking the legal oath, stressing the necessity of cooperation between the Council and the Ministry of Justice in order to support the judiciary at all levels to do its role to ensure the promotion of human freedom and rights, which this can only be achieved with a strong judiciary.

This came during a meeting held today, Wednesday, at the headquarters of the Supreme Judicial Council in Tripoli, which included its president, Muftah Al-Qawi, his deputy, Al-Siddiq Al-Sour, the Minister of Justice, Halima Ibrahim, members of the Supreme Judicial Council, and the Minister of State for Prime Minister and Council of Ministers Affairs.

The Prime Minister affirmed his support for the Higher Judicial Institute, providing it with the necessary capabilities, as well as supporting all judicial authorities, with the aim of providing an environment suitable for judicial elements.

In turn, the President of the Supreme Judicial Council praised the efforts of the National Unity Government in supporting various judicial institutions and providing them with the capabilities available to carry out their assigned role.

For its part, the Minister of Justice, appreciated the government’s efforts to rehabilitate and develop the Higher Judicial Institute to be an appropriate scientific platform for graduating new judicial personnel.

It was agreed during the meeting to hold periodic meetings between the Supreme Judicial Council and the Ministry of Justice in order to follow up on the relevant files and address any problems or difficulties facing the judicial authority.
