Al-Qayeb discusses with in charges of the Libyan Academy in Washington the problems facing students in America and Canada.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, December 19, 2023 (Lana): The GNU Minister of Higher Education, Omran Al-Qayeb, met in Washington with those in charge of the Libyan Academy Attaché.
The ministry stated on its Facebook page yesterday that the meeting discussed a number of issues related to the students studying in America and Canada, including submitting a detailed report on the work progress of the attaché after ending the relationship with the Canadian office, which was responsible for the two arenas.
During the meeting, Al-Qayeb stressed the need for the attaché to carry out its full duties with the Libyan students studying in the two arenas.
The financial difficulties facing students in the two arenas were also discussed, including paying tuition fees for students, facilitating procedures for those wishing to return to the homeland, and the possibility of granting them advances. as well as problems facing students with American banks and finding solutions for them were also discussed.
The meeting was attended by the Chargé d'Affaires of the Libyan Embassy in Washington, the Director of the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Academic Attaché at the Ministry, and the Financial Controller at the Embassy.
