Head of Audit Bureau and the Minister of Oil and Gas discuss the Ministry’s financial reports.

Tripoli, December 18, 2023 (Lana): The Head of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, discussed with the Minister of Oil and Gas, Mohamed Aoun, the financial reports of the ministry and the Bureau’s observations about them in the presence of the directors of the relevant departments in the Bureau and the Ministry.
The meeting, which was held yesterday, discussed ways to achieve transparency and accountability in the oil and gas sector by achieving the best exploitation of financial resources and employing them effectively and sustainably, in addition to discussing the sector’s issues and the challenges it faces in performing its duties.
Shakshak stressed the need to take into account the Bureau’s recommendations and observations resulting from reviews and examinations to improve the ministry’s performance and enhance transparency within it.
