Pulbished on:

N'Djamena, December 17, 2023 (Lana): The government of Chad announced yesterday that four Sudanese diplomats were persona non grata and ordered them to leave the country within 72 hours due to what it described as dangerous statements by Sudanese officials who accused it of interfering in the conflict in their country, according to Reuters.

The statement signed by the Chadian government spokesman said, "The decision came after dangerous and baseless statements made by the senior commander of the Sudanese Army, Lieutenant General Yasser Al-Atta, and repeated by the Sudanese Foreign Minister on local television."

The statement explained that the Sudanese authorities' repetition of these statements regarding Chad and its government is simply unacceptable and hostile and covers a hidden agenda.

According to Reuters, the diplomats are the embassy's first advisor, the defense attaché, and two consuls.
