Al-Abed reviews Libya’s experience in the field of vocational training and qualification before the International Labor Market Conference

Riyadh, December 14, 2023 (LANA) - The Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation, Ali Al-Abed, reviewed Libya’s experience in the field of vocational training and rehabilitation, stressing the importance of supporting small and medium enterprises, and lending to support job seekers, advance development, and eliminate unemployment.

This came in his speech at the International Labor Market Conference held in Riyadh in the presence of labor ministers from the G20, an elite group of international experts, a number of ministers and government officials from various countries of the world, and heads of relevant international organizations.

In his speech before the conference, Al-Abed stressed the challenges facing the labor market at the regional and international levels in light of a reality that is witnessing significant and rapid changes, noting the importance of developing policies, skills and training, as well as keeping pace with the boom in artificial intelligence.

He added that these transformations need international cooperation, and cannot be faced alone, especially in countries affected by illegal immigration.

He also stressed the necessity of unifying visions and future directions in an international institutional manner, and drawing a road map to confront challenges based on understanding the changes in the joint international labor market.
