Moftah Abdul Qawi takes the legal oath as President of the Supreme Judicial Council

Benghazi, December 14, 2023 (LANA) - Today, Thursday, the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Muftah Muhammad Ibrahim Abdul-Qawi, took the legal oath before the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Fawzi Al-Nuwairi, and the Second Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mesbah Douma.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by members of the House of Representatives, “Abdul Salam Nasya - Salem Qanan - Idris Omran - Muhammad Ajdid - Musab Al-Abed - Ibrahim Karnafouda - Abdel Salam Al-Murabit - Hafid Khalifa Ashnina, the Head of the Office of the House of Representatives, “Abdullah Al-Masry Al-Fadil,” and the Director of the Legal Department of the Office of the House of Representatives. Ashraf Al-Dous.

  Yesterday, the House of Representatives voted unanimously to amend some provisions of the Judicial Law, and to nominate Muftah Abdel Qawi as President of the Supreme Judicial Council.
