Moftah Abdul Qawi takes the legal oath as President of the Supreme Judicial Council
Pulbished on:Benghazi, December 14, 2023 (LANA) - Today, Thursday, the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Muftah Muhammad Ibrahim Abdul-Qawi, took the legal oath before the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Fawzi Al-Nuwairi, and the Second Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mesbah Douma.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by members of the House of Representatives, “Abdul Salam Nasya - Salem Qanan - Idris Omran - Muhammad Ajdid - Musab Al-Abed - Ibrahim Karnafouda - Abdel Salam Al-Murabit - Hafid Khalifa Ashnina, the Head of the Office of the House of Representatives, “Abdullah Al-Masry Al-Fadil,” and the Director of the Legal Department of the Office of the House of Representatives. Yesterday, the House of Representatives voted unanimously to amend some provisions of the Judicial Law, and to nominate Muftah Abdel Qawi as President of the Supreme Judicial Council.
