State Supreme Council President meets Canadian Ambassador.

Tripoli, December 13, 2023 (LANA) - President of the Supreme Council of State, Mohamed Takila, received today, Wednesday, the Canadian Ambassador to Libya, Isabelle Savard, at the Council’s headquarters in Tripoli.

      The Council's Information Office reported that the two sides discussed the latest developments in the political situation in Libya and ways to resolve the current crisis through fair and transparent elections, in addition to reviewing bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries.

     The office added that the Canadian ambassador praised the role of the Supreme Council of State in resolving the current crisis, expressing her country's support for the efforts aimed at achieving free and credible elections that end the transitional stages.

         At the conclusion of the meeting, the Council President presented a souvenir to the Canadian Ambassador, appreciating her country’s support in reaching a solution to the political crisis in Libya.
