Erdogan meets Aguila Saleh in Ankara.

Ankara, December 13, 2023  (LANA) - Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, received today, Wednesday, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Salih, who began an official visit to Turkey yesterday.

 Abdullah Bleihak spokesman for the HoR, said that the meeting, which was held at the Turkish presidential headquarters in the capital, Ankara, in the presence of the Speaker of the Turkish House of Representatives, Numan Kurtulmuş, discussed a number of political files and ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

"Blihaq" explained that the Speaker of the House of Representatives appreciated the Turkish position and its support for Libya following the disaster of floods and torrents that affected the city of Derna and the cities and regions of Jabal al-Akhdar.

  Aguila Saleh, also confirmed to the Turkish President the position of the House of Representatives regarding the formation of a new government whose mission is to supervise the upcoming parliamentary and presidential elections.

In turn, Turkish President Erdogan stressed during the meeting the need to speed up finding a consensual solution to the Libyan crisis.
