Benghazi, 12 December 2023 (Lana): “Today, Monday, I held consultations with the LNA Commander, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar. We had an in-depth and frank discussion on the political situation,” the UN Envoy to Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily, said.
“We agreed on the necessity to address all issues related to the political process and facilitate elections in the near future,” Bathily added.
According to Bathily, Haftar expressed his support for Bathily’s efforts and shared his thoughts on ways to make the preparatory meeting of the Libyan stakeholders a success.
