European Union: Al-Koni and Borrell’s discussions revolve around enhancing cooperation and improving migration governance and management.

Brussels, December 6, 2023 (LANA) - The European Union’s External Action Department confirmed that the discussions between the representative of the Presidential Council, “Moussa Al-Koni,” in Brussels with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission, Josep Borrell, focused on how to enhance continued cooperation between the European Union and Libya in key areas, including improving migration governance and management, as well as regional cooperation between Libya and the Sahel Region.

A European Union statement confirmed that Borrell assured Al-Koni of the European Union's support for reaching a political solution mediated by the United Nations, based on a comprehensive dialogue between all Libyan stakeholders, and ultimately aiming to hold elections. .
