Tripoli, December 4, 2023 (LANA) - The UN envoy to Libya, Abdullah Batili, met on Monday with a delegation from the political and social components in Fezzan.

Batili said in his post on the (X) platform, “We had a fruitful discussion about the political process and the need for it to be inclusive of all Libyan parties,” indicating that this came as a continuation of the ongoing consultations he is conducting with the various Libyan components.

Batili stressed the importance of accelerating the pace of work to establish a comprehensive and unified approach with the aim of launching a consensual path that can move forward towards holding a successful electoral process in Libya.

  According to Batili, the participants in the meeting affirmed their commitment to constructive dialogue, demanding fair representation of their region in the lists that will be submitted by the five main parties.
