Tripoli, November 29, 2023 (LANA) - Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, followed up with the Minister of Culture and Cognitive Development, “Mabrouka Toghi,” the Ministry of Culture’s plan for the year 2024.

This came during a meeting held today, Wednesday, in the presence of the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Adel Gomaa.

During the meeting, Al-Dabaiba offered condolences to all local cultural circles on the death of Professor Mahmoud Al-Labbab, Director of the Book and Publishing Department at the Ministry, who provided the Libyan cultural movement a lot during his professional career.

For its part, “Toghi” presented a position on a number of targeted cultural programs, the most important of which is the launch of the activities of the National Festival of Performing Arts, which is being organized for the first time in years, the organization of the book fair in the city of Tripoli, and the support of the efforts of the National Committee for Education, Culture and Arab Affairs in international and regional participation and introducing the Libyan heritage.

Al-Dabaiba stressed the need to support the efforts of the General Authority for Cavalry and Theater to restore theatrical and cultural activity to all cities in Libya, and to coordinate with the Ministries of Education and Higher Education to support the efforts of cultural school activity because of its importance in supporting the cultural movement.
