Chad and Niger ambassadors praise the humanitarian role played by the Anti-Illegal Immigration Service.

November 28, 2023  (LANA) - The ambassadors of Chad and Niger praised today, Tuesday, the humanitarian role played by the Anti-Illegal Immigration Service in dealing with the nationals of the two countries inside the shelter centers, until the procedures for voluntary return to their countries are completed ... stressing the depth of the historical relations between the two countries.

  This came during a meeting between the representative of the Presidential Council, Moussa Al-Koni, with the ambassadors of Chad and Niger during his visit to the headquarters of the Anti-Illegal Immigration Service, and in the presence of the head of the agency, Mohamed Al-Khoja, to follow up on the voluntary deportation process of a number of nationals of the two countries.

The Presidential Council stated that Representative Al-Koni explained that the immigrant used to come to work in Libya and establish an honorable support.

Al-Koni pointed out that the problems we are experiencing today in terms of illegal immigration, cross-border crimes, and extremist groups only appeared in recent years.

He stressed the need to coordinate efforts to block criminal groups, by organizing procedures for bringing in expatriate workers from the countries of Chad, Niger, and Sudan, whose countries are experiencing exceptional circumstances.

  For his part, the head of the Anti-Illegal Immigration Service, Mohammed Al-Khoja, reviewed the measures being taken with the migrants since they entered the shelter centers, providing them with comprehensive care, and coordinating with the embassies of their countries and the relevant authorities until the procedures are completed in coordination with the High Commissioner for Migrants.
