Tripoli, November 28, 2023  (LANA) - Tomorrow, Wednesday, the Ministry of Education will launch the first digital education project in '6' Libyan public schools, in the cities of: Tripoli, Sabha, Benghazi, Mesrata, Zliten, and Janzour.

The project is implemented by the France Experts Foundation in cooperation with the General Information Authority and the Ministry of Education, and is part of the “Digital People” project funded by the French government.

The project - whose inauguration ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. at the "Four Points" Hotel in Tripoli - aims to support Libya in digital transformation by diversifying the labor market and focusing on the economy and technical knowledge.

Sara Ben Lameen, communications officer at the France Experts Foundation, said that the launch of the project will witness the launch of the interactive digital platform (Ta) for teaching computer subject to the seventh grade of basic education as an experimental project in the aforementioned schools.

Sara also explained that the ceremony will include the signing of the project work map between the Ministry of Education and the France Experts Foundation, in the presence of a number of officials and project partners.

This platform aims to provide an easy-to-use digital tool that is consistent with basic education curricula in Libya, to become a model that can be replicated in more schools and curricula for the purpose of developing student technical skills and creating digitally equipped future generations throughout Libya.
