General Authority for Search and Identification of Missing Persons: exhuming 118 bodies of victims of the Derna floods.

Derna, November 24, 2023 (LANA) - General Authority for Search and Identification of Missing Persons announced the exhumation of 118 bodies of victims of the Derna floods from the 'Dahr al-Hamar' cemetery, south of the city, during the past three days, bringing the total number of exhumed bodies to (1,256) bodies.
The authority said that, the specialized teams took samples from (121) bodies, so that the samples were taken from (1,227) bodies.
It added that, (120) bodies were buried in the Al-Fatayeh Cemetery, the Valley Martyrs Cemetery in the city of Derna, after completing the legal procedures for them, bringing the total number of bodies that were buried to (1,199) bodies.
The authority confirmed that its field teams in all specialties are still continuing their work in the city of Derna.
