Batili calls on the authorities and political leaders to listen to the concerns and demands of children, who constitute the true pillar of the country's future

Tripoli, November 22, 2022 (LANA) - The UN envoy, Abdullah Batili, called on the Libyan authorities and political leaders to listen to the concerns and demands of children, who constitute the true pillar of the country’s future, according to a tweet he posted on the mission’s Facebook website yesterday, Tuesday, calling on them to provide an environment that protects the rights of Children in education, health care, safety and participation in public life.

  This came during his participation in the event organized on Tuesday by UNICEF in partnership with the General Authority for Cinema, Theater and Arts to honor children’s rights heroes and heroines from all over Libya, during which he congratulated the organizers on the success of this initiative, which he described as wonderful.

  “I praised the wonderful contributions of these boys and girls, and their tireless advocacy for the protection and promotion of children’s rights in their local communities, and I admire their active engagement for national reconciliation, peace and stability in a united Libya,” Batili said in a speech he delivered on the occasion.
