Misurata Free Zone signs an agreement with a Chinese company to supply gantry cranes.
Pulbished on:Misruata 22 November 2023 (Lana) Misruata Free Zone signed an agreement with the Chinese company SANY to supply gantry cranes with a capacity of 60 tons.
Misurata Free Zone stated that this agreement came on the sidelines of the North African International Conference and Exhibition for Ports and Free Zones, and after studying and reviewing the designs by the Tower and Gantry Cranes Maintenance Department of the Maintenance Department of the General Administration of the Port and in coordination with the German Consulting Office "HPC,"
It added that these cranes will be supplied as one of the requirements for equipping the new container yard that is being implemented according to the latest specifications, noting that these cranes will be supplied and installed in a timeframe of up to 18 months.
The Free Zone explained that it seeks to develop its mechanisms to be environmentally friendly, as the supply of a number of electrical machines was discussed with the company, such as pick-up cranes and container transport vehicles.
It highlighted that these mechanisms will contribute to enhancing the port’s efficiency and improving environmental performance and reflect the commitment of free zone management to adopting environmentally friendly technology in the coming period.
