HCS: Oil must be exploited in other economic activities.

Tripoli, November 21, 2023 (Lana) Members of the High Council of State (HCS), Ali Al-Suwaih, Nooh Al-Malti, and Saeed Wanis, participated in a workshop regarding strengthening relations between private sector companies, the Ministry of Oil, and the National Oil Corporation.

The HCS said on its Facebook page yesterday that the aim of this workshop is to submit recommendations to competent authorities to enhance partnership between them by opening investment in the areas of operation, maintenance, and oil services.

The workshop also aims to invest in the production of petroleum derivatives and contribute to raising production capabilities.

“The oil sector is the main source of the national economy, and it is possible to develop a strategy to maximize the various resources of this sector and exploit them in developing it and enhancing its capabilities, with the aim of exploiting and investing them in other economic activities to diversify sources of income and reduce dependence on oil to finance the budget,” the HCS said.
