Tripoli, November 20, 2023 (LANA) - The head of the High Council of State, “Mohamed Takala,” stressed on Sunday, the necessity of the electoral process in the country being conducted on correct constitutional and legal foundations in order to achieve real results that are not subject to appeal and are satisfactory to all parties.

This came during his speech during his participation with the First Deputy Chairman of the State Council, Masoud Obaid, in the opening of the first conference of the Libyan Center for Studies and Policy Making, which was held in the capital, Tripoli, in the presence of the Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Council, Musa Al-Koni, and the Head of the High National Elections Commission, Imad Al-Sayeh, and a number of diplomatic figures and those interested in Libyan political affairs.

Takala said that such meetings and conferences remove ambiguity from the electoral process, calling on everyone to embrace trust and consensus so that we can bring the country to safety, according to what the media office of the High Council of State published on its official Facebook page.

Takala pointed out that the conference contributed to enriching the serious discussion on issues related to the electoral process and ways to establish it in light of the constitutional and legal foundations.
