During his meeting with Al-Lafi, the Russian ambassador confirms his country’s keenness to support the political solution in Libya.

Tripoli, November 20, 2023 (LANA) - Representative of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, discussed with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Libya, Aydar Aganin, the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries.
During a meeting held on Sunday, the two sides discussed the latest developments in the political process in Libya, by working to end the transitional stages, and the agreement of all parties participating in the political process, by restoring confidence between them, and addressing the controversial points, in order to reach the conduct of electoral dues, according to the media office of the Presidential Council.
Al-Lafi appreciated Russia's continued keenness to support the efforts made to achieve permanent stability in the country.
For his part, the Russian ambassador affirmed his country's readiness to continue its efforts to support a political solution to the crisis in Libya, in line with the efforts of the UN envoy to Libya, as well as to contribute to the success of the national reconciliation project as it is one of the most important factors for stability in the country.
