Tripoli, November 16, 2023 (LANA) - Representative of the Presidential Council, “Abdallah Al-Lafi,” received today, Thursday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Francophonie, and Congolese Abroad, “Jean-Claude Jakossou,” and the African Union Advisor for National Reconciliation, “Mohamed Hassan Al-Labbad.”

     The Presidential Council stated that the Congolese Minister conveyed the greetings of the President of the Republic, Dini Sassou Nguesso, Chairman of the High-Level Committee of the African Union, to the Presidential Council, praising at the same time the Council’s efforts in laying the foundations of reconciliation and stability in the country, and what has been achieved in this file so far. .

       The Congolese Minister briefed Al-Lafi on the results of the meeting held recently in the city of Benghazi, and the efforts being made to build confidence among the people of one nation, without excluding any of the participating parties, and with Libyan ownership.

       For his part, the representative in the Presidential Council expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the role played by His Excellency the Congolese President in supporting stability in Libya, praising also the role of the African Union Commission and the high-level committee in supporting the national reconciliation project.
